Housing directors work hand in hand with local IOP centers if extended care is needed. Safe Haven is committed to providing a safe, secure, supportive environment for individuals looking to learn a new way of living. We operate Male and Female homes with sober step-down option after meeting the recovery home requirements.
STARTING A FOUNDATION
We understand that starting something new is scary. That is why you are greeted by one of the directors of housing upon arrival at your new home. Our family-like atmosphere gives you a sense of belonging. That night you will start your 90 meetings/90 days through a 12 step fellowship. All meetings are within walking distance as all clients walk or ride together. Each home conducts weekly house meetings run by house managers where you learn healthy coping skills, balance a budget, how to prepare nutritious meals for the house in the upcoming week, and what goals need to be met in your recovery.
FINDING BALANCE
Safe Haven alumni regularly visit to share their experience, strength, and hope to show that recovery is possible. One of the best feelings in early recovery is genuinely laughing for the first time in a long time. Safe Haven wants you to have fun during the process. And that’s why we plan holiday parties, game nights, summer picnics, and more!!
